Construction is only one of the important aspects of clothing. For 4-H members to become careful clothing consumers, they also need to know about making wise purchases, caring for clothes and how clothing affects self and others. This activity gives young men and women a chance to show their skill in selecting and purchasing an outfit for themselves.

This activity is open to 4-H members enrolled in the Clothing & Textiles project. Evaluation will be scheduled with the Fashion Revue judging. Evaluation will include appearance, fit, cost, care, suitability for the occasion it was purchased for and how it fits into existing wardrobe. Garments modeled may be purchased new, secondhand or recycled.

Members participating in this activity must fill out a Creative Consumers of Fashion worksheet complete with a photo or photos suitable for display and submit as pdfs and/or photos at time of entry . The photos and worksheet will be displayed on the virtual fairl. Winners qualify to participate in this activity at State Fair.
