Prior to becoming a member of the Board of Directors, Mike served as the Pierce County Fair 4-H Poultry Superintendent. Mikes’ background includes 35 years in the groundwater industry and everything mechanical. He is married with 4 children and his entire family can be found helping at the Fair. Mike’s wife Kathleen is a Shuttle Driver and Camp Chef, Daughters Coila, Carrie, and Melinda have served in various areas as Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents, and Son Gordon assists with the Fair set-up and now serves on the Board.
Mike is serving his 26th year as a 4-H Leader in Valley 4-H Club leading the Poultry and Mechanical Science Projects. He has been involved with the Washington Junior Poultry Exposition for the past 20 years and now serves as the Board President. Mike was recently appointed Purser (treasurer) for the 90 foot sailing vessel Sea Scout Ship Odyssey..
